I'm using music as my excuse for leaving so many tales unfinished or unstarted.

Everything from the lame dark spooky vampire thing to the disturbing, unrelated one-page things, to the newer avante-somethingorother and serial killy deally has been put on hold.

Oh yeah, and let's not forget the bad poetry. Let's NEVER forget.

I've become more increasingly aware that I'm a Jack of All Trades, yet Master of None. While my writing projects sit on hold, I'm working on my second (yes, second) symphony, a few choir works, and writing out charts for my funk band.

This has been taking precedence over pretty much everything I never finish (unfinished comic book, unfinished novels, essays, I want to learn more French, Japanese...). Not to mention, I've always wanted to be a dancer! Alright, that part's not true. But I do keep pretty busy for someone who should have nothing but time on his hands. Doing tiny bits of it all here and there seems to be a rather poor way to get anything done. While some things are getting done, it takes way more time than I feel I have. You know that feeling like we're all going to die someday? Well, hopefully I'm not the only one who believes that... anyway, it means I have too little time to do everything that's trying to get out of my head at once.

I need a drink... What time is it? 11:33 PM - Perfect! Time for a little cheap Pinot Noir.

Better... a little.

Bottom line is: I miss writing. I've got a lot of great ideas (at least, what I think to be great) floating around that really want to be put onto paper (then, of course, into ones and zeros). However, I've been making a conscious effort to focus on music right now. And that, my noble readers (people who make it to this page by accident), is my excuse for not being here more frequently.
